What Makes Halo Training Different for Dogs

 

Every dog has his own personality and may respond quite differently to training. Luna and Astro are the epitome of such phenomena. Both utilized Halo Collar 5 and employed the identical boundary cue set during the learning phase. Yet they responded to training quite differently. Luna was good to keep her distance, Astro was naturally interested and ready to explore everything around. Their differing personalities had a huge impact on how they approached Halo Collar Training.

Luna can very easily perceive boundary cues throughout the training session. She enjoyed being close so she readily recognized where she was meant to stay. With each round of Audible and Vibration Boundary Cues, Luna’s practice was becoming more recognized. With each session of instruction, Luna became more comfortable with the cues and boundaries.

Astro had a different case. Whenever anything interested him, it was very common for the dog to be overcome with curiosity. He would want to drop anchor somewhere and examine whatever was in his vicinity. So, Dog Boundary Training took a bit more patience and persistence. Giving Astro extra chances to drill enabled him to understand and attach meaning to the cues.

Both dogs got better during training as they learnt the relationship between signals and boundaries. Luna seemed to take up what she was meant to perform quickly, Astro needed more work to stay focused with distraction. This is extremely frequent when you are teaching through Virtual Dog Fence teaching as each dog may react differently to the same training approach based on the qualities of the pet.

Both dogs went through the same training regimen. Regular training sessions let them become habituated to the cue and didn’t strain them to learn all at once. It also let the handler see what was simple and what was tough for them throughout the course of training. For Luna it largely included strengthening what she did automatically. For Astro it meant he had enough time and repetition to cope with the distractions.

Luna and Astro instance illustrates that dog does not require the systematic training technique. Two dogs can wear the same sort of collar and receive the same cues, yet learn at different speeds. Luna's calm personality helped her adapt to new things faster, while Astro's adventurous nature needed more time to settle down within the set limits.
